The Oscars rehearsal turned into a Fifty Shades of Grey reunion on Friday afternoon when Dakota Johnson and Rita Ora met up backstage at the Dolby Theatre.

Johnson squealed when she spotted Ora backstage and skipped over to the British songstress/actress. Ora had just completed rehearsing her nominated Oscar song "Grateful" from the movie Beyond the Lights .

The two gave each other a big hug, rocking back and forth.

Johnson said she had been sitting in the audience watching Ora perform and called her Oscar number "amazing."

"It's going to be so great," Johnson added.

Ora, wearing a blue-jean shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers, laughingly insisted she was embarrassed that Johnson was watching.

The two exchanged pre-Oscar plans and caught up in general quickly before Johnson had to take the stage for her own presenting rehearsal.

Johnson had her hair casually pulled behind her head in true Anastasia Steele style. She wore a white t-shirt with black overalls along with black Adidas soccer sneakers.

The two gave one more big hug before Ora took off.

Dakota stars as Anastasia Steele in the box office phenom that is Fifty Shades of Grey. Ora plays billionaire Christian Grey's adopted sister Mia.

During her rehearsal, Johnson walked out from the wings and took in the enormity of the Oscar stage. She worked her intro rehearsal flawlessly. Then Johnson practiced waving her arms dramatically and, eventually, over-dramatically to center stage, where the action will play out on Sunday.
